Mrs. McLaurin’s students are just finishing their books! The students have really risen to the challenge of using and formatting Google Slides, formatting text, creating animations, and exporting images from the animation program and importing them into their slideshows. This project has also pushed students to become better at using the keyboard, using the mouse to change image and textbox size and location, and make edits to their stories (including capitalizing letters). The kids have really risen to the challenging of creating and illustrating a story while mastering new computer skills and the usual first grade skills of writing in complete sentences, spelling correctly, and using proper punctuation.
