Second graders have been working hard learning to use the computers like big kids. They started touch typing (and are doing great!) and learned basic formatting skills in google docs. They also learned the basics of computer art and animation (using Brush Ninja) and are in the process of a project bringing those skills together: an animated book. Each child was asked to write a three-page story with animated illustrations. Students had to use their formatting skills to arrange and personalize their slides, create their animations, and then import those animations into their slides. We are posting the books as they are finished below.
